WP | How to create a coupon

1. Logged in to WordPress. Make sure you have admin account. 
2. Hover to member press then click coupons. 



3. On the coupons panel, click Add New.



4. It will open the coupon page. On the same page you can add the discount, it can either be a percentage or exact amount. 



a. If you choose the percentage, for example you will give this coupon to a client with 50% Discount. If the product is $100 he would only pay $50.



b. If you choose the exact amount, you would select the USD. For example the product is $847 and you wanted to give it for $247. All you need to do is subtract 847 by 247 then you would get 600. Add 600 on the textbox of the discount so that when the client would only pay for $247.



c.  For the usage count. Insert only 1 since this coupon is intended 1 count usage unless you are testing. You can have it unlimited but make sure you delete the coupon after. 



d. Allow coupon upgrades and downgrades can be used when the coupon is for more than 1 usage and if the client wanted upgrade or downgrade like the leads service advance package and Basic package. 



e. Schedule coupon start is used to set the start of the coupon usage. You can create a coupon in advance, so if the coupon is used before the start date. This would not work.



f. Expire coupon can be used to set the coupon expiry. If the coupon is not used on the said expiry, this could not be used anymore. 


g. Apply coupon to the following Memberships box, here you can select where to apply coupons for a certain product. You can choose multiple products by simply holding ctrl + click for windows and Command + click on mac. 

h. Description, You can add description for the coupon. This is a good practice adding notes so that the other user would know what are these coupons for. 



I. On the coupon textbox, you can also add notes to it. This is just optional. After that you may now click publish. 



5. Sending the coupon to the client. This is very important in giving the correct link to the client so that they would no longer add the coupon themselves.
a. All you need to do is find the paywall or payment page. Lets say for example the below payment page.



b. Add &dc=(Coupon) at the end of the link just like this: https://fasttrackfba.com/deals-sign-up/?package_id=3153&dc=NB22GZXTX1_ForVAAcademy029624. Then test it if it works. 

c. For US link which has &cur=usd at the end. Just remove "&cur=usd" and replace it with the &dc=NB22GZXTX1_ForVAAcademy029624.



d. If that works which you can see that it automatically paste the coupon. Then it is now time to send the coupon to the client. 

You are now done creating the coupon for discounts.
